Yes, it’s Washable!
Almost all WinterSilks products are machine washable, including most 100% silk styles! To keep your clothing fresh and bright, we recommend le Blanc Silk & Lingerie Wash–an easy to use, gentle cleanser and stain lifter appropriate for all fabrics from silk to synthetics. Le Blanc cold water cleansers are exceptionally safe and biodegradable, and their low-sudsing neutral pH formula is ideal for natural fibers. Use this gently scented cleanser for clothing, household linens, Egyptian cottons, cashmere, woolens, antique fibers, lace, baby items, silk, all organic materials, down and more.

Top-loading Machines:
Adjust washing machine to the cold water temperature setting. Pour Silk Wash into the washer as it fills with water then add items being washed. Use 1/4 cup per medium load.
Front-loading HE (High Efficiency) Machines:
Load items and shut the door. Pour ¼ cup of Silk Wash into detergent receptacle on the front of the washing machine. Because this cleanser is low sudsing, 1/4 cup or less and the cool water temperature setting is recommended.
Hand Washing:
It’s easy! Use a capful of Silk Wash (or another gentle, non-alkaline soap) in a basin of cool water and soak for a few minutes. Follow by rinsing the entire fabric thoroughly.
Stain Removal:
Treat food and beverage stains immediately. Soft drinks and alcohol can leave stains if allowed to dry. As with all fine fabrics, NEVER use chlorine bleach on silk, as it will erode the fiber. Wet the entire item using cool or tepid water. Apply a few drops of Le Blanc Silk Wash on the stain and gently rub the fabric against itself until the stain is almost removed. Follow by soaking the item for at least twenty minutes and then hand or machine wash. Do not spot treat one area of the fabric without immediately washing the entire item. Tough stains may require overnight soaking.
