Was hoping this would be looser-fitting, more casual. Unfortunately it is still very much a "turtleneck." Calling it a "funnel neck" doesn't make it so.

Rated 3 out of 5 by vmtt this product loses elasticity in the neck area
this dickey used to come in many colors from pastels to bold colors to match the henley silk toips: now only red black white tan, After storing in a dresser drawer for year, it loses elasticity and becomes stretched out , this one is actually a replacement. For the price, it's not exactly a bargain. well at least it doesn't get runs like the silk nightgowns constantly do.
wish they' d bring back the colors of both the v neck and roud and henley silk tops we used to love. easy to slip off the neck dickey during the warmer part of the day. Impossible to slip off the funnel neck ones that are attached. too much cost cutting of nicer items. and raising of prices with this company! sad to see it go slowly downhill. tch.

The turtle necks are very comfortable, soft and warm just right for this time of year. I live in North Florida and the temperatures do drop down to 35 degrees and even lower. Our temperatures vary from 30 degrees to 65 degrees in the same day, and this turtle neck is comfortable even when the temperature rises throughout the day. I think the fabric is great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Northbird Larger than previous
I have purchased many Wintersilks funnel neck turtlenecks in the past, when they used to be offered for women in lightweight filament silk. They were great, fit well, and looked dressy under a sweater. This unisex version (it seems a women's version is no longer available) is too large - due to the extra amount of material, it tends to bunch up a bit under a sweater, so when I wear a V neck sweater, it's a sloppier look than the women's filament silk of the past. The material looks as though it's made for a very casual weekend-type look, rather than for a polished office look. I miss the former version, as well as the filament silk version of the funnel neck ladies long sleeved turtleneck, which was great for a stuffy office. Would love to see Wintersilks bring these items back, and would love to see a filament silk funnel neck dickey offered in a burgundy color.

Rated 3 out of 5 by yjv101 Rides up around my neck
I really like the fabric, colors, etc. and hoped I could use these under open-neck sweaters to keep my neck and shoulders warm on cold days. Unfortunately, every time I wear them, they ride up around my neck, leaving my shoulders bare to the wind. I am sadly returning them.

I love these dickies...but have to say, the white turned grayish the first time I washed it. The size stays true, and love the extra coverage. It lays flat, as far as an effective layering piece as well. The only negative is how washing, no matter how carefully, seems to change the color. I'd still recommend it, because no one else makes a dickie this well.
