Rated 4 out of 5 by Becky5551 Sweater has a good feel and fit. I have several of these sweaters and enjoy them very much. However, I was disappointed in this recent purchase. My biggest concern was the quality. There were hanging threads where the threads had been tied together, and there was also a discoloration on a thread right up front where it was most visible. Rated 3 out of 5 by PotatoHead Looked better on line than on me. I was disappointed this item does not come in Petite. The shoulders on the large size were too big and the sleeves too long; it looked baggy all over. I've ordered petite large with better results. I have to return the large regular. December 9, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by mermaid885 Not the greatest sweater I have ever bought. This sweater had lots of lint before and after I washed it.. Plus I think $12.99 for shipping was too high... November 23, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Whoelse This product is made of cheap material. The sweater has cheap material, noticeable at a glance before even touching it. I knew it would not wear well nor look decent. As a result, I did not even try it on. . .rejected it immediately and returned it for refund. November 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by MomLovesTaupe PetiteSmall Peony is Perfect & some laundry tips.. Given other reviews there seems to be considerable variation in sizing and quality between different colors, sizes and perhaps manufacturing lots. If it's some help to others, the Peony is Petite Small I just received looks true to size and the yarn, weight and weave look and feel identical to a "natural" colored one I purchased a couple years ago. That one's been worn often and washed many times and still looks and feels great. The peony is exactly the shade I was hoping for. From my monitor, I wasn't sure if it would be a slightly warm toned pale pink - what my Mom and I have always called "ballet pink" and what I was hoping this would be, or a clearer, pastel pink. The latter can also be beautiful but I was delighted that the one I received had the most subtle warmer cast I was looking for right now. I don't expect any problems with wear and pilling if I launder this just as the other I've mentioned, and some other Blair brands silk and silk blend sweaters I've had over the years. I've always just machine washed these and they seem to take some gentle to permanent press agitation and regular machine spins just fine so long as they're washed in a mesh laundry bag on cool to warm water. I've used both natural soaps and mild 'free n' clear' type detergents and both have worked fine. I do notice a big difference in whether they're air or machine dried - and use that to my advantage. Machine drying on delicate or permanent press can shrink the length somewhat. That's great when one runs a little big and the bonus to that is that they come out softer and fluffier than air dried. They don't seem to stretch out again in the course of wear through a day after that; however the length will return if they're wet again or re-washed. If I prefer to maintain the length, I just gently hand stretch them length-wise a bit after washing and then air dry. Since once they're dry the yarns don't seem prone to shrink or stretch much either way, a happy medium that seems to soften them up a bit after air drying without losing any or much length is to turn them inside out and toss in the dryer on warm air for just a half to one or two minutes. Given this fair amount of wear and tear, especially for silk, I'm very satisfied with the durability of the fibers and seams on those I've had. October 29, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by rosiemacposey does not hold up I wore the cardigan one day and the arms pilled badly. Too bad, it looked good in the catalog. October 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nannnygoat Love the sweater! The cardigan fits true to size and is very comfortable. I ordered the midnight navy and love the color. It goes great with jeans and with Wintersilks midnight navy capri pants. In fact, I lost my cardigan somewhere and just ordered another one because I wore it all the time. Love it! October 5, 2016
